Art Photography

As early as I can remember I wanted to be an artist. Through life's twists and turns I have become a photographer. W. Eugene Smith and Ansel Adams were early influences, but Edward Weston had the biggest impact. I studied photography as a fine art at Point Park University, and graduated cum laude.

I have exhibited in numerous photography and art shows over the years, regionally, and a few national and two international contests. I was a member, then president, of The Photoimager's Guild, a board member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists, and a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh. Being able to blend art photography with commercial photography served each other very well. Besides the photographs exhibited in group shows I have had a number of one man shows in recent years. The largest was at the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh. My art photographs are in over 200 collections, both corporate and private.
